“Youth Speaks” - is an annual competition, organised by Rotarians where teams from local schools compete to become public speaking champions.

In two categories, seniors and juniors compete at local venues all over the country. Winners of the local rounds go forward to compete at District level and these winners  in tern then compete at National level.

The photographs here show the winners of the local round in Beaconsfield, organised by the Rotary Club of Beaconsfield.

The 2009 Winners of the Seniors Beaconsfield competition were team B from the Beaconsfield  School

This year there were no team entries for the junior competition

The trophy was presented by the President of the Rotary Club of Beaconsfield, Margaret Mathie.

The  team now goes on to compete in the district competition and if they come through that round  they will then be competing in the national round.
