The picture below shows the original car provided by the Rotary Club of Misbourne Matins
It was a number of years ago that the Rotary Club of Misbourne Matins provided a car for the St. Helena Sandveld Hospice in South Africa and now the time has come to replace that car.
The car will be necessary to allow the safe and satisfactory transport of patients, under the care of the St. Helena Sandveld Hospice, to and from the hospital and clinics in the area. It will make a considerable contribution towards "making a difference!” to the lives of these patients, as well as assisting the Hospice Staff.
Initiated by the Rotary Club of Saldanha, in South Africa, the Rotary Clubs of Misbourne Matins, Beaconsfield and Jordans and District have joined in contributing funds to purchase the new vehicle, a Toyota Avanza 7 seater. Each of the 3 Clubs will provide equal proportions of a £4000 fund that will be increased to £10,000 through Matching Grants from District and Rotary International. The names of the contributing clubs will be sign written on the side of the car.
The project is a good example of the meaning of the 2007-

A Joint International Project for the benefit of St. Helena Sandveld Hospice
