Napal Trust

Rotarian Trevor Crompton has produced an excellent book of  drawings, ‘A Beaconsfield Sketch Book’, depicting various scenes around our historic town of Beaconsfield.

The book is a fantastic souvenir gift for those people living in the town or visiting the tourist attraction of Bekonscot and is available at Bekonscot Model Village and various other outlets in the town.

The cost of the publication is a mere  £5.00 with all production costs being sponsored by local businesses, it means every penny from the sales go to the Rotary’s Charity, Foundation. In this instance the fund is to help provide electricity to a remote village in the Himalayan mountains of Napal.

Trevor does not stop here though, he is an enterprising man and is now producing Tea Towels, also available at Bekonscot and outlets in the town..

Anyone reading this article who would like to purchase Trevor’s books or tea towels should contact Trevor by phone: - 01494 674866

The Nepal Trust provides integrated rural development in the far North West of Nepal. Their main objective is to help create community projects that emphasize local participation and responsibility and give hope to the people of this very remote and impoverished area, where every day is a struggle for survival.

The project being supported here, is one to help provide and maintain a source of electrical power to a village in a remote area of the Himalayan mountains in Napal. Electricity will be produced using renewable sources;

wind, water and solar.

Through ROTARY FOUNDATION every penny raised by our Club will be increased in value through ROTARY MATCHING GRANTS.
