The Rotary Club of Beaconsfield was chartered in February 1953 and has maintained an average membership of 30. It has accepted women members since 1996, the Town Mayor at that time being the first. The Club has had links in the past with the Rotary club of North Berwick on the outskirts of North Melbourne, Australia, and at present has an association with the Rotary club of Appleton, Wisconsin, USA. Members of both clubs make exchange visits, as do the young people of both clubs.

Rotarians are business and professional people who wish to give a little time and effort to helping other people in our local communities and in other parts of the world. While helping others we have the opportunity to make new friends worldwide, as Rotarians are welcome in any other club.

Beaconsfield Rotarians actively support the local community and organizations with charitable donations and fund raising, they support international projects such as Polio eradication, building of amenities in third world countries, providing support for health care.
